Evan is a much happier boy now that his second tooth has finally poked through. I hope that means tonight will be better than last night! Through it all he has been a pretty good baby, he just needs a few more snuggles, and we can handle that. Today he is 10 months old, I can't believe how fast my baby boy is growing up! I better take all the snuggles I can get.

Evan's 1st tooth!
On top of Evan having a cold, he's been teething. Not the best combination, so let's just say night time has not been as restful as it used to be. This morning when Evan woke up, what did I discover? His 1st tooth, just barely poking it's way out of his tender gums. I'm so glad the tooth came through, but poor Evan. What does he get to look forward to now, more teeth trying to cut through.
Looks like a rough road ahead, but he can handle it, he's a Lothyan!

Tot Soccer
Today was Kyleigh's first day of soccer. She has been looking forward to this day for a LONG time. Unfortunately she is still trying to get over her cold, so she has bad asthma when she runs. We gave her some puffs and off she went. It was so fun to watch these 3 1/2 to 4 year olds running around, trying to understand what the coach wanted them to do. She was good at keeping track of her ball, and she dribbles pretty well. She is learning that we don't use our hands, and that we kick with the inside of our foot. She likes to carry the ball around, so we are going to have to work on that one. When the class was over she did not want to leave. This is going to be a very entertaining season!

It's already here!
The FLU...
It has joined my family. The children are safe, they've already had their flu shots, they just have bad colds. I had a slight brush with the flu the other day, but it knocked my hubby off his feet.
Time to get one of these!

I've been tagged!
Taggin' It Up
Rules
1: Each player starts with 8 random habits/facts about themselves.
2: People who are tagged need to write a post on their blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3: At the end of the post you need to choose 8 people to get tagged and list their names.
Here we go.
1. I love to watch exercise TV and pray that I could be fit too. I guess I should pick up the weights and actually workout. :)
2. I can't stand when people tell me what to do.
3. I LOVE to watch my kids sleep.
4. I once worked at Blockbuster video.
5. I won 2nd place in a jalapeno eating contest in my HS spanish class. Afterwards, I threw-up in the garbage can in front of everyone!
6. I flipped over my handle bars on my bike and landed on my chin when I was in elementary school. The cut was so deep that you could see my chin bone. My brother scooped me up and barged into a neighbors house to get help. He was my hero that day!
7. That same brother hung me the window of my parents 2 story house by my legs, just to impress some girls. I was not pleased!
8. I was in the Westhill Wranglers, a jump rope club. :)
Sorry if you don't like to be tagged just ignore it, but I tag Carly, Shannon, Annelise, Jessica, Kelli, Ashlee, Livy and Sarah W.

Annual Preemie Picnic
So today we went to Evergreen Hospital where they hold an annual picnic for the NICU graduates. They have lots of food, face painting, prizes, and all kinds of other activites. It's so much fun to see the nurses and Doctors who took care of our little Kyleigh, and they love to see how much she has grown. The staff becomes your family while you are there, and this is a great way to see them again and catch up. We had a lot of fun, and can't wait until next year.
Linda, she ALWAYS made us laugh, which is important when things are going rough. It was nice to have someone change the mood a bit.
Tonya always called Kyleigh, "Kyleigh bug," and sure enough as soon as she saw us she said, "hi Kyleigh bug." It's great to know that as many children they see, they still remember us.
Evie was our evening primary nurse, and we got to love Evie so much. She kept Kyleigh company late at night when we weren't there. The night before we brought Kyleigh home, I had to spend the night, and we stayed up all night laughing, and talking. I really should have slept, but we had so much fun. We are so glad we got to see her this year. We loved ALL our nurses, and are so thankful for them.

Evan boy

My little guy had his 9 month check-up today. He was 17lbs. 7oz and 28 inches long. I can't believe how fast this time with him has gone. My little baby has turned into a busy, curious, happy little boy. We love him so much! Sometimes I wish he would stop growing, just so he would be my baby a little bit longer. We love you Evan boy!

My baby's all grown up!
I can't believe that Kyleigh turned 4 today. Time has gone by so quickly. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday with family and a few close friends, it was so much fun. When we sang happy birthday she was grinning from ear to ear. We also had fun with the Noddy pinata. I must give myself props because I made an indestructible pinata, even a few of the dads got in on it. Finally we let the pinata hit the ground a few times, and with a little help from my niece tearing into it, we got it open. I was pretty proud of myself. Kyleigh is such a good girl, and I am so lucky to be her mom. She makes me laugh everyday, and is always so sweet. She is creative, playful, loving, and just a great kid. I love her so much! Kyleigh 3 days old!
Kyleigh's 1st birthday!
Kyleigh's 2nd birthday!
Kyleigh's 3rd birthday!
Kyleigh's 4th Birthday
We are SO lucky to have her in our family, we love you Kyleigh! Happy 4th Birthday.

What were we thinking!
So Justin's parents came over today so we could can some peaches. Yum! So we have 3 boxes to can, but as we are working through the boxes we think, is this worth it? Besides, we are almost out of jars anyway. We have just put a dent in the third box and we already had 30 jars between us. So we called it a night, and we will hopefully find something to do with the rest. As my in-laws were leaving we picked up a box and what was underneath, more jars! Oh well, now we have plenty of jars for pears and applesauce.
I'm so grateful that my mother-in-law can come over and can with me, since I still don't know what I'm doing. We had a great time, and it was well worth it in the end.

She's a HERO!
To many she is known as my sister, to others she is known as a hero.
A friend of hers found a stray dog, and she volunteered to take care of the little dog. She fed him, gave him water, made him a bed, and even made him a sock toy! Today she posted that she found a dog, and the owners called, so excited that someone had found their little Fuzzy.
How did she know these were the correct owners? Well for one, when she said Fuzzy, he sure got excited, and second she made them pass a test. Haha! When everyone was reunited there was so much excitement, little Fuzzy was home at last. Way to go sister!

The Noddy pinata
So Kyleigh wants a Noddy birthday party this year. Noddy is a very popular kids show in the UK. Kyleigh LOVES Noddy, but do you think I could find any Noddy party supplies in the US, not hardly. So lets make our own noddy pinata! Justin blows up a balloon and Kyleigh and I begin our paper mache. We are about 1/4 of the way in and POP! Kyleigh screams and I am cracking-up with laughter. What else can I do, my kitchen is covered in tiny white dots of flour and water goo. Kyleigh's face was also covered, and when I found Justin to tell him what happened he asked me what was all over my face. Kyleigh informed me she was done with the paper mache. We started over after a quick change of clothes and this is our pinata!

One of the kids
Every year when the Evergreen State fair comes to town, I have to go. I don't think I have ever missed a year that I can remember (except for two, but I was on bedrest and dying to go, so they don't count.) This year wasn't any different. I begged Justin to go, and pleaded to get the ride braclets, who do you think won? I did! We went with Matt and we all took turns taking Kyleigh on the kiddie rides, and we got to go on some adult rides too! It was so much fun, I could have stayed there all day long, but I realize that at some point my kids would need a decent nap.

Summer camping
We went on a couple of camping trips this summer, and what I have learned from it all? Dirt is attracted to Kyleigh. She had so much fun, and her imagination ran wild. Any stick became icah and bicah (two of her many imaginary friends) She didn't mind getting dirty, and I love that she could run around free and just be a kid!
Evan also had fun camping, eating dirt, floating in a boat, and just being cute!

Peer Pressure
So, I have finally decided to join in the blogging world. So many of my friends do it, and I think it will be a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. Please feel free to make comments or suggestions about my blog, I don't have a clue what I am doing.
