Kidney Stones!?!

Apparently when it rains it pours, at least for me right now. Last Friday when I went to the Dr. and was put on antibiotics for a UTI I thought this nightmare would be over. Sat. I went to a gathering at my in-laws house and that night I felt like something was moving into my chest. I started coughing and by the next morning my voice was so scratchy and deep I sounded like a man. Perfect! That night I had a full blown cold. On Tues. I talked to my Dr. and they informed me that I did not have a UTI, and needed to go see a Urologist and have them rule out bladder cancer. WHAT!?! This is crazy. I got into the Dr. on Wed. and the Urologist assured me that I have such low risk factors for bladder cancer that I shouldn't worry, but I could have kidney or bladder stones. I could handle that over bladder cancer. So that afternoon I had a CT of my pelvis, where they put dye into my blood stream through an IV. The tech explained that I would feel warmth moving through my body and I might feel that I was going to wet my pants, and that I would have a funny taste in my mouth. All which happened. (No, I didn't wet my pants, it just felt like it.) Anyways, after waiting for results the urologist called me Fri. afternoon to tell me I have 3 kidney stones in my right kidney. What a sigh of relief that it's not bladder cancer. Monday I will go in and discuss what to do to rid my body of these stones. I also get to have a peek inside my bladder with a microscopic camera just to make sure everything is fine, should be fun! I will let everyone know the results when I get them because I'm sure your all dying to know.

Primary program

Kyleigh was in her first primary program today. I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. It was hard to see her through all the heads, but when I could see her, she was singing her heart out. I am so proud of her, and she did such a good job. Also, when it was the sunbeams turn to say "I will follow the prophet," you could hear Kyleigh out of everyone else. We could even hear her singing sometimes even though we were clear in the back. I just want her to know how much I love her, and how proud her dad and I are of her. You are our special little girl and we love you!

It just keeps getting better...

This is going to be a little on the personal side, so if you want you can stop reading now. Yesterday afternoon while using the bathroom I noticed a little blood in my urine. Is it already that time of the month, I asked myself, nope! Should I call the Dr. again? They are going to think I am a crazy, paranoid person, but I did. Just keep an eye on it they said. So, I did. I didn't notice a thing, until this afternoon. Sure enough, on more than one occasion, blood! So off to the Dr. for the 4th time THIS WEEK! What could it be...Kidney infection, ulcer, UTI, I can't handle this anymore. I'm really frustrated at my body because I am never this sick. It's true, I'm on my 3rd antibiotic, this time for a UTI. I hope this ends soon! I guess yogurt will be my friend for awhile.

Strep throat AGAIN!!!

Ok, so I don't remember the last time I had strep throat, oh yes I do 2 weeks ago. This is so annoying. I went to another walk-in clinic on Sunday, they tested me and it came back negative. Trust me, I just had it, I know what it feels like. But no, they tell me to just watch it. That night I go to a family party, sound familiar, that's just what happened 2 weeks earlier. Sorry again Lothyan family, please don't stop inviting me to parties! So, while at the party I ask my sister-in-law to look at my throat as it now feels like needles poking my throat when I drink water, sure enough...Strep! I called the walk-in clinic back on Monday, told them I watched it, and it is full on strep if they could get the Dr. to fill a prescription for me. No, we don't do that. Well I'm not going to pay another co-pay at the walk-in and not be covered by my insurance at 100% so I called my Dr. They saw me, and the woman who cultured my throat gasped, said "Oh my gosh," told someone else to come take a look because it was so bad. Nice, when the Dr. saw me he told me he had to take a look because they were talking about it downstairs. The test came back "screaming positive" the Dr. said. They put me on antibiotics an off I went. Oh no, it only got better. That night I should have felt a little better, but my tonsils were worse in the middle of the night, and in the morning I would gag when I talked they were so swollen. The Dr. told me to come in and be tested for mono, MONO! I'm not in high school anymore I'm 30! The test came back negative, so I had to go have another blood draw for another test. Those results should be in the next 3 days or so. I was crying in the Dr. office I was in so much pain. He prescribed Vicodin for the pain and a steroid to reduce the swelling. The draw back, I can no longer nurse Evan. I know he's almost a year, but I just wasn't ready. It would be different if it was my decision, but it was made for me. That makes me VERY sad, but we are dealing with it. Anyways, the pain meds are REALLY helpful, and things look like they are slowly improving. Let's hope I don't have to deal with this again ever, or at least for a really long time! I was going to post a pic of my throat, but thought better of it, your welcome!

The littlest witch and cutest bat!

So I'm finally posting our Halloween pics. Kyleigh did so much better trick or treating than at the trunk or treat. We had family home evening the night before, and I have a halloween safety lesson and game that really helped. She held hands, and was so well behaved, YEA! She loved flying on her broom, and loved all of her glow sticks. Evan did so well in the stroller, and never fussed once. He also loved the glow sticks.

She and Evan got tons of candy, and it's still sitting on top of our fridge. She doesn't even ask for any, so I guess I will continue eating it. :( They were so cute, and had a really fun time.

Trunk or treat!

Our ward had a trunk or treat on Wed. night. Since Justin was at work, and I still don't know many people in my ward, I asked my parents to come with me. I'm SO glad I did.

Evan was an angel, just sat and watched everyone around him. Kyleigh on the other hand was OUT OF CONTROL!
I know, look at that little face...
I don't know if it was the excitement of the holiday, (she had a Halloween party at preschool earlier) or what, but I could not get her to calm down. She was running all around the place, wouldn't hold hands in the parking lot, and I'm not one to blame excess sugar for my child being out of control. I hope that after Halloween, she will calm down a bit. If my parents weren't with me, I would have been crying in the corner not knowing how to wrangle my child.

It was fun, and I'm glad Kyleigh had fun, she just had so much energy I don't think she could control herself. We will let you know how our night goes tomorrow, hopefully a little better!

I got tagged!

Kim from Good, Bad, and Crazy tagged me with a "random things" tag.

The Rules for playing TAG:

*Link to the person who tagged you
*Post the rules on your blog
*Write six random things about yourself
*Tag six-ish people at the end of your post
*Let each person know he/she has been tagged
*Let the tagger know when your entry is up

1. I have to take a bath every night. I love baths, they help me unwind after the kids are in bed. I read or think about everything else I should be doing, but I don't care, I have to have my bath!

2. Right now I am obsessed with trying to sell my junk on craigslist. I just think how nice it would be to have it all out of my house, and I won't mind the extra change in my pocket.

3. I like watching kid shows, and listening to kid music. It has never really bothered me to watch kid shows with Kyleigh, and I even enjoy it. I know WEIRD!

4. I am a very nervous person if I have to teach preschool/church or whatever. Anything that requires me in front of a group of people, even 3-4 year olds, I always feel inadequate.

5. I love to gossip. I know we shouldn't, but lets face it, who doesn't.

6. I can't stand my teeth. One day I will get braces and get them fixed. They are crooked, and I can't stand them. I will admit that my mom was right when she said I should wear my retainer, but only about that! :)

I tag...
Carly, Lisa, Sarah W., Sarah B., Shannon and Jamie (Sorry everyone!)
